We could define the Mediterranean identity as a way of life that finds beauty in simple things and embraces happiness in everyday trivialities. A culture that treasures sunny days, local rituals and fresh food on the table; a warm culture of welcoming people with open smiles, who love to share, enjoy and take things easy; a diverse culture between the mountains and the sea, open to the world but very unique and built on a human scale; an open culture fueled by curiosity – lively, dynamic and chaotic – where tradition intertwines harmoniously with modernity; an emotional culture, of good humor and infinite creativity.
If one had to mention territories that stand out for their own distinctive design culture, one would think of Catalonia and especially Barcelona: its creative tradition; the international recognition of its professionals, brands and schools, the values that emerge from the shores of the Mediterranean and its mild climate throughout the year, influence the lifestyle and mood of the creators who work there, of the citizens who live there and of those who visit it. and helps us to understand the potential of the design community in Catalonia.
From April 9 to 13 the exhibition ‘Inspired in Barcelona: Mediterranean Design’. will open its doors to the international public, who will have the opportunity to discover a sample of the best products of the habitat sector from all over Catalonia, from the most consolidated brands to the emerging talent of new publishers inspired by the values and lifestyle of Barcelona.
Made Design Barcelona is well represented by our coat racks Bolonia by Eduard Juanola and Treviso by NutCreatives.
