Muka Design Lab is an award-winning industrial design studio specialized in creating furniture with identity and character. Located in Bilbao since 2011. The founders, Laxmi Nazabal and Lucas Abajo, graduated in Fine Arts and Industrial Design Engineer, both with a Master’s degree in product design from Coventry University in England.
His work has been featured in AD Architectural Design, Fast Company, Archi Expo, Dezeen, El Pais and awarded at international design exhibitions in Milan and Los Angeles, as well as winning a RedDot Award Design Concept in 2015 and a German Design Award in 2020.
In 2019 they created a furniture publisher called Abana Bilbao, where they design, manufacture and sell exclusively online products with an Atlantic and Nordic identity, made with local craftsmen and materials.
