Barcelona, 1930-2018. One of the most important figures of design in Catalonia. Lluís Porqueras started with some architecture courses rehabilitating several farmhouses and later joined with several contemporary designers to create their own companies: Stoa and Vapor.
In a post-war context and against the trend of high tech, he began to introduce the word design as we know it today. Once he left aside his stage as a designer entrepreneur, he focused on the task of designer working for companies in the sector, specializing in the design of lighting products.
Since its beginnings, it has left emblematic objects for Catalan design, many of which are still in constant reedition and production today.
